The EQ3 Spark Air Vest Safety Vest is a CE-certified inflatable riding vest that protects you in the event of an accident. The vest is flexible and close-fitting so as not to affect your range of motion while riding. The design provides optimal ventilation, making it comfortable even during warm summer rides. The Spark Air Vest features an advanced technology system originally used for motorcycle riders, where air channels are inflated in the vest with the help of a carbon dioxide cartridge. After a fall, the vest automatically releases the air.
The riding vest is easily attached to the saddle, and in the event of a fall, the airbag is triggered. In less than 0.25 seconds, you as a rider are protected from your neck down to your tailbone. This reduces the risk of, for example, whiplash injuries or broken ribs, which in turn can cause internal injuries.
To attach the vest to the saddle, remove the stirrups and place the hooks on the "bar" where the stirrups hang, then put the stirrup leathers back on.
Weight: The vest weighs approximately 1.3 kg without the cartridge in size medium.
Are you competing? The safety vest is suitable for all riding disciplines and is perfect for training and everyday riding. Inflatable riding vests are allowed in competitions together with another approved vest. These complement each other to provide extra protection.
Gas Cartridges
One cartridge is included when purchasing a vest. When buying an extra cartridge, choose Smart Riders' own cartridges as they have a thread adapted for the vest. A new cartridge costs 299 SEK.
We recommend that the vest be sent in for inspection after it has been inflated 10 times or has received a very hard impact, to ensure that the vest has not been damaged and functions as it should. Just like a car inspection.
